01 / INPUT

Hydrogen Supply

Hydrogen feeds anode from storage or pipeline. Gas management system regulates pressure & flow.

02 / SPLIT

Oxidation at Anode

Hydrogen molecules split into protons (H⁺) and electrons (e⁻) at the platinum catalyst anode.

03 / CONDUCT

Proton Membrane

Hydrogen protons travel through the Nafion® polymer membrane. Electrons are forced through the external circuit — generating current.

04 / COMBINE

Reduction at Cathode

Oxygen from air combines with returning electrons and protons at the cathode. Pure H₂O is the only reaction product.

05 / OUTPUT

DC / AC Power

Fuel cell DC output is combined and conditioned through power electronics. For AC loads, inverters convert DC to grid-quality AC.
